Born in Henrico, raised in Bon Air and educated at both the University of Richmond and Virginia Commonwealth, Rick has spent all of his life in and around Richmond, having lived in the City, Chesterfield, Henrico and Hanover.

With a business degree from the University of Richmond (Marketing/Economics), Rick decided to further pursue his interests in real estate through the Real Estate and Urban Development program at Virginia Commonwealth University at the graduate level.

In addition to his academic background, Rick has gained practical knowledge through having family members (developers, lenders, sales, construction and management) in the business as well as through his association with his development partners.

This combination of experience and knowledge, both geographically and technically, gives Rick a unique advantage in valuing and positioning property. This also qualifies him in the eyes of both developers and the buying public as his knowledge goes beyond the base real estate transaction. Understanding and interpreting trends has taken on more importance with the rapid changes in the market. His ability to combine technical knowledge, project knowledge and day to day experince gives Rick unique perspective.

In January of 2008, Rick decided to further network his various contacts and resources by forming One South Realty Group. OSRG will focus more on urban project representation, urban development, and investment sales as well as normal single family brokerage in the Metro area.
