It could be argued Salisbury, spanning nearly 5 decades of development in the NW corner of Chesterfield, is one of the regions most important subdivisions.
With roots that trace back into the 1960’s, the neighborhood provided a home for many of the Midlothian area families and proved that luxury and wealth existed south of the James River during a period when Richmond was strongly oriented to the North and West.
The large 5 and 6 bedroom colonials and estate sized lots are hallmarks of the neighborhood from the later 1970’s through the middle 1990’s. The stability of the neighborhood both helps and is helped by the stability of the school system which educates the children. Midlothian HS consistently ranks in the top echelon of schools in Chesterfield.
