Our Projects // 2008 to the Present Day

Since we opened our doors in January of 2008, we have been involved in numerous projects.  A partial list is below.

Huntt’s Row

Huntt’s RowHuntt_s_Row___Kensington_Avenue___The_Fan (yes, it has two ‘T’s’ in it) is the latest infill project we have had the opportunity to represent.  Named for a renown Richmond architect in the early 20th Century (Albert Huntt), the project was inspired by a 9 home development on Hanover Avenue Mr. Huntt oversaw.  8 upscale townhomes will be built on the corner of Kensington Avenue and Robinson Street in the western Fan District blocks from the VMFA and a short jaunt to Carytown.  Expected deliver in the middle of 2016.  John Nolde, Developer.

The Emrick Flats

The Emrick Flats is a mixed use project in Jackson Ward of 25 residential units and 1 large commercial space.  The building was a car dealership built in the early 1900’s known as Emrick Chevrolet.  It is a highly recognizable building due to its triangular shape.  Property Results, developer.

The Reserve

reserveThe Reserve is a 25 unit residential project that blended both historic warehouse renovation and new construction.  Its notable curved roof line is a unique look and creates an interesting visual signature for the Church Hill/Shockoe/Tobacco Row neighborhood.  Clachan Properties, developer.

Ginter Place

IMG_5065Ginter Place, located in Richmond’s Northside, was developed on in the former Richmond Memorial Hospital complex.  Ginter is now a 69 unit condominium complex of large and well-appointed luxury condominiums with a complete amenity package of parking, exercise facility, storage, guest suite and gas cooking.  Ted Ukrop, developer.

The Marshall Street Bakery

newIMG_7648-1024x6821The Marshall Street Bakery project is a 23 unit mixed use project in Jackson Ward.  Originally Mother Herbert’s Bakery, the building had literally degraded into nothing more than a facade when it was purchased and redeveloped.  It became 23 units of residential space and about 3500 SF of commercial space, now occupied by Art 180.  The developer was Kelvin Hansen and Alex Alexander.

The 212

212_DiningFlowersThe 212 is located at the corner of 2nd Street and Clay Street, in eastern Jackson Ward.  The former Southern Aid life insurance building was redeveloped into 12 spacious condos and 5 commercial spaces close to the revitalized ‘2 Street’ corridor.  Ron Stallings, developer.

Tribeca Brownstones

Tribeca_RVA_—_Triangle_Below_Cary___Richmond_VATribeca Brownstones is located along South Harrison Street on the VCU Monroe/Randolph border. Local architect Dave Johannas and developer/Broker Tom Rosman teamed up to provide a quality town home project in the City.  Built over three phases, Tribeca now provides a stylish and notable entry point to the Randolph neighborhood from VCU and helps bring new development momentum across the expressway along Harrison Street.

The Cary Mews

The Cary Mews, located along Cary Street in Richmond’s Fan District, the Cary Mews is a blending of historic warehouse and newly constructed town homes.  The metal shingle employed by the architect gave the town homes at ‘The Mews’ a distinct look allowing them to stand out as one heads Downtown on Cary Street.  Monument Construction and Marc Galt, developer.

The Decatur

39 e 3rdThe Decatur is a high end build-to-suit warehouse renovation that was converted to 3 luxury lofts and 1 commercial studio.  Lofts B and C we recently sold.  We have been the only brokerage involved in the resale (to clarify) and we were not involved in the initial project (Bill Chapman was lead developer).  The Decatur was one of the true signature spaces on the Downtown Loft Tour.

Citizen 6

RenderingsCitizen 6 is another high end for sale project developed by Bill Chapman consisting of 6 new homes along Floyd Avenue built in a high contemporary style.  The homes feature open layouts, upscale finishes, green and responsible elements and the all-important ‘ample parking.’
